The Theological Best Books catalog, a project of the Association of Theological Booksellers, is published
twice a year.

The spring edition features new and best selling titles in Pastoral Ministry and Spirituality. The fall edition features new and best selling titles in Theology, Biblical Studies, History, Contemporary Issues, and Reference.

95,000 copies of each edition are printed. Approximately 10,000 are mailed to the combined membership lists of the American Academy of Religion and the Society of Biblical Literature. In addition, 5,000 copies of each edition are also mailed to subscribers of the Christian Century. Orders are directed to ATB member bookstores listed on the catalog. Copies are imprinted and shipped in bulk without cost to seminary and theological center bookstores for distribution to students, seminarians, faculty, alumni, and other customers.

The Theological Best Books project is funded entirely by the participating publishers.
